Qtel awards Siemens UMTS contract

Siemens Networks has been awarded a managed services contract by Qatar Telecom (Qtel) to operate its W-CDMA 3G mobile network. The contract includes maintaining and optimising the network, and expands an existing service partnership in place since June 2006.
