TeliaSonera’s start-up Spanish mobile operator Xfera, which operates under the Yoigo brand, has announced it has signed up more than 93,000 customers to its network to date and has a further 120,000 orders from prospective subscribers. To celebrate reaching the 100,000 milestone, Yoigo plans to offer free text messages to all its subscribers the day after it reaches the target.

According to TeleGeoagraphy’s GlobalComms database Xfera was awarded Spain’s fourth 3G licence in March 2000 but only launched commercial services in December last year.
