Tele2 says sale of French unit to SFR to be investigated again by EU

Tele2 says that the EU plans to further investigate the USD450 million sale of its French fixed and broadband operation to Vivendi’s SFR unit. In a statement, Tele2 said: ‘In the coming days, Tele2 and SFR will analyse the situation arising from the decision made by the European Commission with a view to take a common position on the contemplated transaction shortly.’ The deadline for the EU’s original inquiry into the sale ended yesterday.
