Geocell picks Telenity for video services

Georgian cellco Geocell, which ended 2006 with just over a million subscribers, has engaged the services of US vendor Telenity to provide next generation value added services such as video mail and internet conferencing. Telenity will be installing its Canvas Videomail platform as well as upgrading its existing applications already used by Geocell, including ringback tones, SMS, MMS and voicemail. The new Canvas platform supports intelligent networks and next generation services.
