Canadian broadband over power lines (BPL) provider Trimax says it has completed a BPL pilot programme with Ecuadorian power utility Emelazogues, and expects to form a joint venture to launch the service commercially, reports BNamericas. The two companies delivered high speed connections over electricity lines in the town of Azogues, providing a ten-day trial of internet access, VoIP telephony and home security camera applications. Trimax is looking to offer triple-play internet, voice and video services in the country.
