The Iranian government is considering privatising the national PTO, Telecommunications Company of Iran (TCI). Taliya News reports that TCI subscribers have paid deposits to the telco and customers will be asked if they wish these deposits to be used to buy shares in the incumbent’s 28 regional operating subsidiaries. The managing director of TCI, Saber Feyzi, says that its networks division, Telecommunication Infrastructure Company, will remain state-owned as part of the ICT Ministry.
