Cellcom reports 10% jump in revenues

Israeli cellco Cellcom has reported a 10% rise in revenue for the year ending 31 December 2006 to NIS5.62 billion (USD1.33 billion). EBITDA for the year totalled NIS1.864 billion, representing 33.2% of revenues, while net income totalled NIS517 million. The company added 201,000 new customers to its ranks during the course of the year, 56,000 in the fourth quarter, to take its year end total to 2.88 million. Average subscriber minutes of use in 2006 totalled 338 minutes, a 5.3% increase compared to the previous year, while monthly ARPU was up NIS2 to NIS153.
