7 Mar 2007

Telefonica has agreed to pay EUR10 million (USD13.1 million) to rival Jazztel to end a legal dispute between the two. Jazztel was pursuing a claim that Telefonica had obstructed competition. Indeed, in 2005 Jazztel Chairman Leopoldo Fernandez Pujals said the company would demand more than EUR800 million in damages from the former incumbent.
