EPM net profit rises 16%

Colombia’s Medellín-based utility EPM, which offers telecoms services under the Une Telecomunicaciones banner, has reported a 16% rise in net profits to COP986 billion (USD439 million) in 2006 compared to COP848 billion the previous year, writes BNamericas. EPM reported operating revenue of COP3.05 trillion, the company said without providing a 2005 comparison. EBITDA was COP1.52 trillion down from COP1.7 trillion the previous year.
