3 Italy adds next-gen IM application

3 Italy has selected a next-generation mobile instant messaging (IM) service from NeuStar. The deal will bring Microsoft Corp’s IM service, Windows Live Messenger, to 3 Italy subscribers. ‘This generation’s mobile subscribers are frequent IM users,’ says Simon Brown, general manager of NeuStar’s Next-Generation Messaging Services. ‘Mobile IM frees up communications and enables users to stay connected and logged on wherever they are.’
