Ericsson to deliver IPTV solution to Vodafone Iceland

21 Feb 2007

Vodafone Iceland has selected Ericsson to deliver an end-to-end IPTV solution to consumers in Iceland. The integrated solution will be the first step in the evolution toward converged multimedia end-user services based on Ericsson IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). According to Gestur G. Gestsson, Vodafone Iceland’s chief technology officer ‘The IPTV system from Ericsson will enable user interaction, for example voting, with traditional TV programs. Together with voice services and the internet over broadband networks, this IPTV solution is a complete triple-play service. We believe that this gives great advantages for our subscribers.’
