Vodafone Italy has increased its damages claim against Telecom Italia (TI) after filing new evidence with a Milan court. Vodafone originally claimed EUR525 million (USD690.1 million) in damages from TI after accusing its rival of abusing its dominant market position. It has now upped its claim to EUR759 million, Dow Jones reports, after uncovering additional evidence of its rival’s ‘anti-competition actions’. Vodafone claims TI illegally supplied customer details to its cellular division TIM, which leads Italy’s mobile market ahead of second-placed Vodafone. Vodafone says TIM was using the information to attempt to lure customers away from Vodafone.
