Peruvian ISP Emax and Texan equipment supplier Navini Networks have launched a broadband network based on the latter’s 802.16e pre-mobile WiMAX solution. According to BNamericas the service has been deployed in the capital Lima, although the operator plans to expand the service to seven other cities. ‘We want national coverage in broadband and are already planning expansion into the main cities of Peru – Trujillo, Piura and Arequipa,’ Emax’s president Genaro Delgado Parker said in a statement.
