Voxtel and NEC ink deal

Moldovan cellco Voxtel, which had close to 800,000 subscribers and a 65% market share at the end of September 2006, has signed a contract with Japanese vendor NEC to install the latter’s ‘PASOLINK NEO’ microwave transmission equipment on its network. PASOLINK is a flexible wireless access system which enables cost-efficient expansion of network capacity.
