9 Feb 2007

Slovenian conglomerate ACH, formerly known as Autocommerce, has signed an agreement with Germany’s Debitel Konzernfinanzierungs to acquire 52% of shares in Slovenian MVNO Debitel Telekomunikacije, increasing its stake in the company from 36% to 88%. Under a previous shareholder agreement between the German company and Autocommerce, ACH had a pre-emptive right to the majority stake, which was put up for sale in November. Debitel has some 95,000 mobile subscribers in Slovenia, and uses the GSM infrastructure of the market leader, Mobitel. In 2005 Debitel generated revenues of EUR23 million. ‘We are convinced that Debitel Telekomunikacije has a bright future under the wing of ACH,’ said Debitel Konzerfinanzierungs chairman Axel Rueckert.
