O2TV attracts 20,000 customers

7 Feb 2007

Telefónica O2 Czech Republic’s new fixed line television service 02TV has signed up 20,000 subscribers since it was launched on 1 September 2006, the company said in a press release. O2TV provides customers with a large selection of films, TV channels and radio stations from both domestic and international studios, television broadcasters and radio networks. The company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Andrei Torriani, said: ‘O2TV customers have quickly learned that fixed lines are not only about making phone calls or connecting to the internet with high speed ADSL, but also about having the best in televised entertainment and movies at their command’.

When the service was launched O2TV was accessible via over a million fixed telephone lines in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Pilsen, Liberec, České Budějovice, and many other district towns. Today this has increased to two million homes across the Czech Republic.
