Ecotel acquires Tiscali Germany’s business division

Following last week’s report that Tiscali Germany had sold its residential broadband subscriber base to for EUR30 million (USD38.9 million), news has emerged that German telecom firm Ecotel is to acquire Tiscali Germany’s business division, Tiscali Nacamar, for EUR18.5 million. Tiscali Nacamar provides VPN, security and hosting services for businesses throughout Germany. Both divestments are part of the Italian ISP’s new strategy of concentrating solely on its domestic and UK markets. The sale of Tiscali Nacamar is scheduled for completion in around four weeks.
