MTS forecasts 20% rise in sales for 2006

Russia’s largest cellular operator MTS is forecasting revenues of more than USD6 billion for 2006, up from USD5.01 billion in 2005. Investments for the full year are expected to reach USD1.8 billion. The firm also predicts that the Russian mobile market will be worth USD15.6 billion in 2007, up 17% on the 2006 figure, while its own sales will be up by between 15% and 17%.
