MCI expects to double revenues in 2007

Mobile Communications Company of Iran (MCI) says it expects to see revenues of more than USD2 billion in its 2007/08 financial year which begins in March as the country’s cellular market continues to undergo a rapid expansion. The firm, which is wholly owned by state fixed line operator TCI, is forecasting sales of USD1.13 billion for its current financial year, Taliya News reports. MCI is the largest cellco in Iran, with around eleven million subscribers at the end of December.
