GTS Datanet selects Thomson VoIP platform

Hungarian alternative operator GTS Datanet, a unit of GTS Central Europe, has selected Thomson’s Cirpack VoIP switching platform to facilitate the launch of double-play and IP Centrex services. GTS Datanet is the third company in the GTS Central Europe group to select Thomson, following announcements by GTS Telecom in Romania and GTS Nextra in Slovakia in 2004 and 2005. With broadband subscriptions rising rapidly in Hungary GTS Datanet sees a good opportunity to exploit the potential of VoIP.
