Movistar Argentina expands mobile coverage in Chubut

BNamericas, quoting newswire Telcommunity reports that Argentine cellco Movistar, a subsidiary of the Spanish Telefónica Móviles, has announced it will expand its mobile coverage to the towns of Epuyén and El Hoyo, tourist destinations in the southern province of Chubut, by mid-February. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Movistar ended 3Q 2006 as the most subscribed Argentine network, with a shade under ten million customers.
