Ericsson wins in Siberia

Ericsson has won a trunk radio network contract with Russian cellular operator Yeniseytelecom. The deal, which will see the vendor implementing its Marconi LH long-haul microwave system, includes network installation, supervision and training. The new network is due to enter service later this year. Yeniseytelecom is the largest cellular operator in the Siberia region and one of the ten largest cellcos in Russia, with around 1.2 million subscribers.
