GTS Datanet selects Thomson’s VoIP platform

10 Jan 2007

Hungary’s largest alternative telecoms provider GTS Datanet has selected Paris-based technology developer Thomson to supply it with its Cirpack VoIP switching platforms for the launch of new double play and IP Centrex services. The Hungarian operator is the third member of the GTS Central Europe group to select Thomson’s Cirpack solutions, following announcements by GTS Telecom in Romania and GTS Nextra in the Slovak Republic in 2004 and 2005. Thomson says its VoIP and IPTV service delivery platforms enable telecom operators to deploy broadband telephony, IPTV, IP Centrex, triple play and fixed-mobile convergence services; they also allow a seamless migration path to IMS/TISPAN architecture.
