Greece seeks OTE sale options by end of February

The Greek ministers of finance and transportation will meet with financial advisors on Thursday to discuss proposals for the further privatisation of former monopoly telco OTE. According to a senior official quoted by local press, the appointed advisors, Credit Suisse Group, UBS and EFG Eurobank Ergasias, will be asked to present specific proposals for the sale of up to a 20% stake in OTE by the end of February, as part of the government’s EUR1.7 billion privatisation programme for 2007.
