The Puerto Rican arm of US-based Centennial Communications posted revenues from broadband operations of USD31.8 million for its fiscal second quarter ended 30 November 2006, a year-on-year rise of 11%, whilst its wireless business generated turnover of USD78.9 million, almost unchanged on the year before. Centennial de Puerto Rico had 392,000 mobile subscribers at the end of the quarter, up from 378,000 a year before, in an extremely competitive market. The company focuses on both the cellular and converged corporate markets in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. It agreed to sell its Dominican Republic subsidiary to US operator Trilogy in November 2006.
