BNamericas, quoting local consultancy Prince & Cooke, reports that at the end of 2006 Argentina will have 13 million internet users, up 30% compared to 2005. The consultancy counted all users who connect to the web at least twice a week. The number with monthly contracts is thought to have risen by 32% during 2006, the highest growth for five years, driven by the broadband sector. At the end of the year the total of broadband subscribers is predicted to be 1.45 million.
