Kuwait expected to get third cellco in 2007

The Kuwaiti government is finally expected to offer a third mobile licence in 2007, nearly three years after draft legislation was approved which would allow the move. Kuwait is currently home to two cellular operators, MTC and Wataniya, which had 2.53 million subscribers between them at the end of September according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database.
