Nokia to work with FT on ‘Mon PC a Distance’ service

11 Dec 2006

France Télécom (FT) and Nokia have signed an agreement under which the latter will integrate a remote content access service into the operator’s network, as well as hosting it and providing the related platforms etc. The service, which will be offered under FT’s flagship Orange brand, will essentially consist of a ‘Mon PC a Distance’ or ‘My Remote PC’ service that will enable Orange mobile users to remotely access their PCs via their handset. The French company says the new service has been developed to target its high value customers who keep sizeable amounts of personal content on their home PCs, such as videos, photos, music and work-related materials.
