Cablecom eyes Nicaragua launch

Mexican cable TV operator Cablecom says it plans to enter the Nicaraguan market in February next year, offering packages of TV and high speed internet services. Nicaragua’s telecoms regulator Telcor has already approved its launch writes BNamericas, citing local newspaper La Prensa, and Cablecom has commenced its network rollouts. Telcor’s director Foad Hassan also revealed that another Mexican firm, Telmex, is interested in entering the Nicaraguan pay-TV market.
