Alcatel-Lucent selected for SingTel IPTV trial

Singapore Telecom (SingTel) has selected Alcatel-Lucent as a key supplier for its IPTV trial, which began in October 2006. The vendor will work with SingTel to develop content services such as broadcast TV and video-on-demand (VoD) based on a combined Alcatel-Lucent integration solution and Microsoft TV IPTV edition software platform. Alcatel-Lucent will provide SingTel with an end-to-end IPTV solution as well as providing a complete services integration covering the network infrastructure, software platforms and integration elements required for the service.
