Verizon closes sale of Domincan Republic subsidiary

Verizon Communications has announced that it has closed the sale of its Dominican subsidiary to América Móvil. According to a press release from the US telco, the transaction has received the approval of regulatory body the Dominican Telecommunications Institute. The news follows Verizon’s agreements to sell its interests in Puerto Rico and Venezuela, also to América Móvil.
