Three apply for GSM licence

Georgian regulator the National Communications Commission (NCC) has said that three companies have submitted bids for a national GSM-1800 licence. The closing date for bids was Monday 27 November. The bidders are MagtiCom, which already operates 2G and 3G services in Georgia, and little-known newcomers Serviceline and Dzheokominvest. The winner will be announced on 15 December 2006.
