Telekom Slovenije reports 3Q results

Slovenia’s largest telecoms provider, the Telekom Slovenije Group, has reported that in the first nine months of 2006 its revenues grew by 5% to SIT128.2 billion (USD70.25 million) while net profit climbed 6% to SIT17.6 billion. The group’s wireless arm Mobitel increased its net profit by 27% to SIT7.8 billion on revenues that rose by 8% to SIT70.6 billion. Wireless subscribers grew by a more modest 2% in the nine months ended 30 September 2006, but this was enough to allow it to maintain its 72% market share. Telekom Slovenije added more than 60,000 fixed line connections in the period, of which more than 40,000 were ADSL.
