Wind posts 3Q profit

Italy’s number three mobile operator Wind Telecomunicazioni has reported a third-quarter net profit of EUR37 million, reversing a net loss of EUR37 million a year ago. Sales for the three months to the end of September were up 5.6% year-on-year to EUR1.27 billion, while EBITDA rose 18.6% to EUR464 million. Wind has around 14.5 million subscribers and a 19% share of Italy’s cellular market, while it also offers fixed line telephony and internet services.
