Qtel buys 38.2% stake in IP firm Navlink

Qatari incumbent Qatar Telecom (Qtel) has acquired a 38.2% stake in US-owned internet technology firm Navlink. A Qtel statement posted on the Qatar stock exchange web site did not give the value of the deal. US-based international carrier AT&T Inc also has a stake in Navlink, which operates businesses such as web hosting, messaging and wireless services, whilst Qtel operates a data centre in Doha in partnership with AT&T and Navlink.
