17 Nov 2006

German telco Versatel, which according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database enjoyed 3.5% of the domestic broadband market at June 2006 with 380,000 subscribers, has inked a deal with China’s Huawei Technologies to build a nationwide all-internet protocol (IP) and dense wave-division multiplexing (DWDM) network. The new infrastructure will enable Versatel to provide high speed xDSL access and multimedia services.
