Meteor signs roaming deal with Vodafone covering western seaboard

15 Nov 2006

Meteor Mobile has signed a network roaming deal with rival Vodafone Ireland covering the length of the western side of the Republic. As a result of the deal, Vodafone will supply Meteor’s customers with GPRS roaming services from February 2007 in an area stretching from Donegal to Cork. Meteor sought the deal to cover areas where it is either still building its network or where low population density makes the rollout of services uneconomical.
