Omani incumbent telecoms operator Omantel has reported nine-month profits of OMR61 million (USD158.9 million), up 17.7% compared to the first nine months of 2005. Mobile subscriptions to Oman Mobile, which is 99% owned by Omantel, were 1.221 million, an increase of 178,000 in twelve months.
