Irish incumbent fixed line operator eircom has won a major network contract with local banking group AIB to construct and manage a storage area network (SAN) across the capital Dublin, writes siliconrepublic.com. Under the deal, eircom will install over 140km of fibre-optic cabling to support AIB’s data storage needs for the next decade.
