French alternative telecoms operator neuf Cegetel has published its financial results for the third quarter to 30 September 2006 and says the acceleration in growth compared with the fiscal first half is in line with its targets for the year. The telco reported consolidated revenues of EUR713 million (USD909.7 million) in the three-month period, up 6% on a pro forma basis, driven by a strong performance from the group’s mass market and enterprises divisions, which reported growth of 13% and 6% respectively in Q3. The group’s mass market segment posted revenues of EUR202 million, up 13% year-on-year on the back of strong gains from broadband which offset declining switched voice service revenues. neuf Cegetel says it has won 481,000 ADSL customers since September 2005, adding that growth has accelerated since the launch of its ‘100% Neuf Box’ package in late August. Including AOL France, which was integrated as of 1 November, neuf Cegetel had 2,002,000 ADSL customers by 30 September, a market share of more than 18%.
Neuf Cegetel’s Enterprises division contributed revenues of EUR233 million in the third quarter, an increase of 6% year-on-year. At the end of September neuf Cegetel reported that a total of 133,000 corporate sites were connected to its network, an increase of 35,000 in a year.
