KDDI claims it is winning the MNP war

Japanese mobile operator KDDI says it has signed up more new users than its rivals since the introduction of mobile phone number portability (MNP) on 24 October. KDDI said its net increase last month, calculated by deducting the number of cancellations from its new contracts in that month, came to around 200,000 users, double the number that switched from KDDI to other service providers.
