UK ULL lines hit million mark

7 Nov 2006

The number of unbundled local loop (ULL) lines in the UK has passed a million, according to the Office of the Telecoms Adjudicator (OTA). The total number of unbundled lines reached 968,656 on 29 October, and was therefore set to hit the magic million this week. ULL rollout has accelerated in 2006 as more and more alternative operators look to take control of their broadband and telephony services from incumbent operator BT Group.
