Comstar UTS snaps up Ukrainian telcos

Russian telecoms operator Comstar Unified Telesystems (Comstar UTS) has acquired two telecom operators in Ukraine – Kiev-based DG Tel and Technologic Systems – through its local subsidiary Comstar, for a cash consideration of USD4.7 million. DG Tel is an alternative fixed line telephony services provider which delivers integrated services to corporate customers. Technologic Systems meanwhile, is an ISP which offers broadband services and which holds one of eight licences in Ukraine for the provision of domestic and international long-distance voice services over an IP network.
