Idea launches in Uttar Pradesh (East)

Indian mobile operator Idea Cellular has launched services in Uttar Pradesh (East). The cellco’s GSM/GPRS network is being rolled out across 100 towns and villages in the business zones of Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Jhansi. Earlier this month Idea launched its mobile network in Rajasthan. The company has more than ten million mobile subscribers and operates in Delhi, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Upper Pradesh (East and West), Rajasthan, Kerala and Himachal Pradesh.
