AAPT contracts PowerTel for ADSL2+ wholesale services

3 Nov 2006

Australian alternative operator AAPT, a subsidiary of Telecom New Zealand, has sealed a deal with wholesale broadband provider PowerTel for the supply of ADSL2+ internet access services at download speeds of up to 24Mbps. The deal does not spell the end for the telco’s often rocky working relationship with Telstra, however, and AAPT said it had signed a new two-year supply agreement with the fixed line incumbent for wholesale network and carrier services.
