Partner Communications, Israel’s second largest mobile phone operator, said its third quarter net income jumped almost six-fold year-on-year, up to ILS184.7 million (USD42.9 million) from ILS30.9 million in 3Q2005, on the back of steady sales. Revenues were up 8.1% to ILS1.46 billion and EBITDA rose 24.6% to ILS476.7 million. Partner ended September 2006 with 2.626 million subscribers, up from 2.585 million three months earlier, of which 219,000 were 3G users, up from 165,000. Quarterly churn was 3.7% with UMTS subscribers accounting for the bulk of new additions. Blended monthly ARPU rose 1.2% y-o-y to ILS164 and blended quarterly MoU were up 5.2% to 322. Partner said it estimated that its customer market share remained steady at 32%.
