Colombia may implement number portability in 2008

According to BNamericas citing local daily La Republica, Colombian congressman Simón Gaviria has submitted a bill which if passed will sanction the implementation of number portability in 2008. The bill, which covers both fixed line and mobile services, is expected to be resisted by the country’s telcos on the basis of cost.
