Slovenia says ‘wait until April’ for Telekom stake sale

According to a statement from a spokesperson for Slovenia’s Ministry of the Economy last Thursday, the state plans to launch a two-stage tender for 39% of government-run incumbent telco Telekom Slovenije next April. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database notes that Telekom Slovenije is 62.53%-owned by the Republic of Slovenia. Funds and others (brokerage firms, investment companies) hold 28.84% and 8.63% is held by private investors.
