Iliad reaches two million subscribers

27 Oct 2006

French telco Iliad, which offers broadband under the banner Free, announced it had gained 171,000 subscribers in Q3 2006, passing the target of two million that it had set itself for the end of the year. Free now has a total of 2.076 million DSL subscribers, reports Telecompaper.. The growth in its broadband business is helping offset a decline in fortunes for Iliad’s wireline operation OneTel which has lost around 50,000 customers since the start of the year. Free’s monthly ARPU remained stable throughout Q3, at EUR35.50 (USD44.90).
