Ospitel set to recalculate fixed line service rates

Osiptel, the telecoms regulatory body of Peru, has started to revise the benchmark it will use to calculate fixed line service rates for the next three years, reports local business daily Gestión, quoted by BNamericas. A ‘productivity factor’ is to be established that will be used to adjust the rates of incumbent telco Telefónica del Perú, with the revised rates being introduced on 1 September 2007.
